Adrienne Tang
VP Administration
Hello! My name is Adrienne Tang, and I'm entering my fifth year studying Human Geography with a minor in International Relations. I'm incredibly honoured to serve as your VP Administration for the 2025/26 academic year!
This marks my third year working with the AUS Administration, and I’m more excited than ever. Over the years, I've come to deeply value the role of community-building in the university experience, whether that's through shared spaces like the Arts Student Centre or through events that bring people together over food. I began my AUS journey with the Sustainability Team, and this year, I'm looking forward to collaborating with my team to expand accessible climate action and food hub initiatives throughout the AUS and beyond. As VP Administration, my goals also include strengthening governance by proactively refining the AUS Code and ensuring student voices are represented through a transparent and effective AUS Council. I also hope to make the ASC feel more like a home, a space where students can thrive both socially and academically.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me biking along the beach, catching a movie with a crisp Diet Coke in hand (and drafting a cheeky Letterboxd review), or exploring new restaurants around Vancouver.
If you have any questions or just want to connect, feel free to reach out at vpadmin@aus.ubc.ca. I'm so excited for the year ahead!

Khushi Nanda
VP Finance
Hello UBC Arts! I’m Khushi Nanda, a third-year student in the B+MM program, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. I’m so excited to be serving as your VP Finance this year!
My journey with the AUS started two years ago as Reimbursement Director, then Associate VP Finance, and now I’m incredibly grateful to continue supporting our community in this new role. This year, I’m focused on making AUS finances more student-centered, and efficient with greater support for clubs, first-years, and initiatives that directly benefit you!
I’m a people person at heart, always eager to connect and build a more inclusive community. Outside of AUS, you’ll find me chasing sunsets, grabbing boba, listening to Bollywood music, or watching inspiring documentaries.
I’m here to listen and serve, so don’t hesitate to reach out anytime at vpfinance@aus.ubc.ca or on Instagram @khushinanda_4. Let’s make this year a great one — together!

Erin Fan
Senior Internal Director
Hi everyone! My name is Erin (she/her) and I am a 4th year Psychology major from Toronto, Ontario. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be supporting the AUS as Senior Director of Internal Affairs this year.
This is my fourth year on the AUS team and I couldn’t be more enthusiastic to be returning! I have previously held roles as the Professional and Academic Development Director and Executive Assistant to the President, both of which have helped me gain a valuable understanding of the ins and outs of the Arts community. My focus this year as Senior Director of Internal Affairs is to continue to promote an exciting, rewarding, and supportive internal community that engages our incredible AUS volunteers.
In my free time, you can find me curating Spotify playlists, trying new matcha cafes, watching sunsets at the beach, travelling, and attending any concert I can get my hands on (some particular faves have been Kaytranada and SZA)!
I’m always open to questions and a conversation – you can find me on Instagram @erinnfan or email me at internal@aus.ubc.ca <3 See you around campus!

Vanessa Zhang
VP Engagement
Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa, and I’m going into my fourth year as a Psychology major with a minor in Family Studies. I’m incredibly excited to be serving as your VP Engagement for the 2025–2026 year <3
I have been apart of the AUS team for the past 3 years, and each year, AUS continues to exceed my expectations, and pushes me to be a better leader, friend and person. I am so grateful to AUS and the Arts student body for providing me with the opportunity to serve on the executive team this year, something I could’ve only dreamt about when I first joined.
This year, the Engagement team is focused on elevating our brand identity, creating visually engaging content, and improving event marketing through strategy reports and post-event analytics. We’ll also be working to boost arts club and student leader recognition, and, of course, bring you affordable and high-quality AUS merchandise!
Beyond my extracurriculars and academics, you will likely catch me spending all my money on matcha and chai lattes, as well as concert tickets! I am also an avid film, TV show, and book enjoyer — you name it, I’ve probably watched/read it! If you have any ideas, questions, or just want to chat, feel free to reach out at vpengagement@aus.ubc.ca or DM me at @vanessazhngg. Super excited to see what this year has in store for our amazing team!

Akuol Riak
VP Student Life
What’s up AUS! My name is Akuol Riak (she/her), and I am your VP Student Life for the 2025-26 season! I am beyond excited to represent Arts students and work with all the amazing and talented volunteers at the AUS. I want to create a space where students can rely on Student Life to plan engaging and fun events! We host events ranging from karaoke nights to pilates classes–whatever it is, we want you to make great memories with the AUS! When I am not in meetings or planning events, you can find me studying at either the Woodward or Law library. In my free time, you can catch me at the gym, playing basketball with friends, or at the beach. I love matcha, and if you have any good recommendations, we should definitely chat! I want all students to know that my team and I are here to enhance your social life–let’s have a great year!

Maral Tabarmanaf
VP Academic
Hi UBC Arts! My name is Maral (she/her) and I’m super excited to be your Vice President Academic this year! I’m a third-year student studying International Relations with a minor in Middle East Studies. I first joined the AUS as an Equity and Inclusion Strategist last year, and becoming part of this community has genuinely been one of my best experiences at UBC!
This year, I’m looking forward to many of the accessible, engaging, and student-centered academic and professional development initiatives the Academic portfolio has to offer. This includes, but is not limited to, rapid networking sessions, roundtable discussions, and the Arts Career Fair!
Outside of the AUS, I love trying new coffee shops, spending time with friends, and playing tennis really badly. If you have any questions, ideas, or would like to get involved, I’d be happy to connect. You can reach me at maraltabarmanaf@gmail.com or on Instagram at @maraltabarmanaf.

Cindy Zhang
VP External
Hi! My name is Cindy Zhang (she/her) and I am a 4th-year student studying International Relations with a minor in Health and Society. This is my third year in the AUS, and I’m extremely honoured to be your VP External this year.
I’ve worked in the External Portfolio for my entire undergraduate degree, and I’ve cultivated a deep understanding of student accessibility and community engagement through personal experience. I understand that our relationship—as the AUS with you—is grounded in dialogue and meaningful reflection. As such, I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue expanding how we give back to the Arts community, support our students in clubs, and uplift you to feel confident navigating campus life while creating change in spaces that matter to you.
Outside of the ASC (where you’ll usually find me on the couch with my emotional support water bottle), I’m typically lifting heavy circles, on the water with my dragon boat team, or justifying another sweet treat for myself.
Cheers to an exciting year!
