Adrienne Tang

VP Administration

Hello! My name is Adrienne Tang, and I'm heading into my fifth year studying Human Geography with a minor in International Relations. I'll be your VP Administration for the 25/26 academic year.

This will be my third year with the Administration, and I couldn't be more excited. This year, I hope to enhance the Arts Student Centre by making it a more study-friendly space with a more seamless booking system supporting groups like AUS Clubs. Having a start with the sustainability team, I'll advance existing sustainability and Food Hub initiatives by facilitating strong connections with on- and off-campus partners, organizing engaging Community Meals that promote accessible and diverse climate action, while expanding our Community Pantry. And lastly, I aim to uphold strong governance by proactively addressing issues in AUS Code and ensuring students’ representation on a transparent AUS Council.

In my free time, you can find me biking along beaches, going to the movies with a crisp diet coke (while trying to write a funny entry on Letterboxd), and exploring restaurants around Vancouver!

For any questions or inquiries, please feel free to reach out via email at vpadmin@aus.ubc.ca! Looking forward to connecting!

Khushi Nanda

VP Finance

Hello UBC Arts! I’m Khushi Nanda, a second-year student currently pursuing the B+MM program with a major in Psychology. I am excited to serve as your VP Finance!

I joined the wonderful community back in my first year as the Reimbursement Director, transitioning into the Associate Vice President Finance and now elected as your Vice President Finance. This journey has been really invaluable in shaping my personality and skills.

Being an outgoing person, I love to meet new people and building a stronger community. Outside of AUS, you’ll often find me chasing sunsets, grabbing boba, listening to Bollywood music, or watching inspirational documentaries.

I look forward to working tirelessly for the AUS, making sure that our financial resources are allocated efficiently, transparently, and responsibly to best serve our student body. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out at vpfinance@aus.ubc.ca or my Instagram @nandakhushi_4!

Erin Fan

Senior Internal Director

Hi everyone! My name is Erin (she/her) and I am a 4th year Psychology major from Toronto, Ontario. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be supporting the AUS as Senior Director of Internal Affairs this year.

This is my fourth year on the AUS team and I couldn’t be more enthusiastic to be returning! I have previously held roles as the Professional and Academic Development Director and Executive Assistant to the President, both of which have helped me gain a valuable understanding of the ins and outs of the Arts community. My focus this year as Senior Director of Internal Affairs is to continue to promote an exciting, rewarding, and supportive internal community that engages our incredible AUS volunteers.

In my free time, you can find me curating Spotify playlists, trying new matcha cafes, watching sunsets at the beach, travelling, and attending any concert I can get my hands on (some particular faves have been Kaytranada and SZA)!

I’m always open to questions and a conversation – you can find me on Instagram @erinnfan or email me at internal@aus.ubc.ca <3 See you around campus!

Akuol Riak

VP Student Life

What’s up AUS! My name is Akuol Riak (she/her), and I am your VP Student Life for the 2025-26 season! I am beyond excited to represent Arts students and work with all the amazing and talented volunteers at the AUS. I want to create a space where students can rely on Student Life to plan engaging and fun events! We host events ranging from karaoke nights to pilates classes–whatever it is, we want you to make great memories with the AUS! When I am not in meetings or planning events, you can find me studying at either the Woodward or Law library. In my free time, you can catch me at the gym, playing basketball with friends, or at the beach. I love matcha, and if you have any good recommendations, we should definitely chat! I want all students to know that my team and I are here to enhance your social life–let’s have a great year!

Maral Tabarmanaf

VP Academic

Hi UBC Arts! My name is Maral (she/her) and I’m super excited to be your Vice President Academic this year! I’m a third-year student studying International Relations with a minor in Middle East Studies. I first joined the AUS as an Equity and Inclusion Strategist last year, and becoming part of this community has genuinely been one of my best experiences at UBC!
This year, I’m looking forward to many of the accessible, engaging, and student-centered academic and professional development initiatives the Academic portfolio has to offer. This includes, but is not limited to, rapid networking sessions, roundtable discussions, and the Arts Career Fair!
Outside of the AUS, I love trying new coffee shops, spending time with friends, and playing tennis really badly. If you have any questions, ideas, or would like to get involved, I’d be happy to connect. You can reach me at maraltabarmanaf@gmail.com or on Instagram at @maraltabarmanaf.
